IN RETROSPECT

 

SYNOPSIS:

1970: An entire small town is built for the Summer Oylmpics

in Munich, including the largest shoppin mall in Europe at the time.  Many migrant workers are emplyed for the construction.

1982: Sorab Shahid Saless, and Iranian director, shoots a film in West-Germany as a response to a rapid rise in racism.  The characters in the film walk past houses walls and facades smeared with far-righ slogans.

2016: Nine People are murdered in a right-wing terrorist attack at the Olympia shopping mall.  All the victims have a migrant background.

“In Retrospect“ looks back in time and links a space with it's history.
